这就是表演性演讲（Dramatic Interpretation） 的魅力。在WSDA的舞台上，学生们用10分钟的时间，把一部电影、一段剧本、甚至一集动画，浓缩成一场独属于他们自己的表演。他们不只是“背台词”，而是在同时成为多个角色——用一张脸、一个身体，演绎出不同人物的性格、情绪与命运。

Nate Mickelich is not just an experienced drama coach, but a soul who ignites the passion for performance in countless teens. From his first drama class in third grade to falling in love with acting in seventh grade, from being a professional magician to a TV actor, his life is an incredible improv performance. Nate观察到，中国学生最大的挑战是"害怕给出自己的答案"。而表演性演讲要去孩子们直面所有问题："角色为什么这样说？他们此刻的感受是什么？"当学生靠自己做出每一个艺术选择，那种"我能创造"的自信会从舞台延伸到生活的每个角落。

Nate observes that the biggest challenge for Chinese students is "the fear of voicing their own answers." Drama performance forces them to answer every question: "Why does this character speak this way? What are they feeling right now?" When students make every artistic choice on their own, that "I can create" confidence extends from the stage to every corner of life.

Dramatic Interpretation isn't about perfect replication - it's about injecting your own understanding. As Nate vividly puts it: "I could give a million people the same canvas and paints, and what they create will always be different."

Nate shares an unforgettable story: A student kept rehearsing without ever watching the original film. Until the final rehearsal - the boy had only been on stage for three seconds when Nate excitedly realized: "This time it's different!" The student had finally watched the entire film and truly understood the emotional thread of the story.

那个瞬间，学生也恍然大悟："原来，只有先理解故事，才能让别人看见故事。"

In that moment, the student also had an epiphany: "So I need to understand the story first before I can make others see it."

"不要只是想着'也许某天我会试试'——站起来，去做！"
